Food For 4

In the face of increasing economic challenges, South Africa stands at a precipice. The impact of the close recent recession, compounded by the devastating effects of Covid-19, has left many families in dire circumstances, struggling with health challenges and devoid of basic necessities even after the national lockdown.

In response to this escalating crisis, the initiative Food For 4 was born in 2020, merging a valuable idea from a fellow church group with a nutrition program that had been patiently awaiting the right moment to flourish.

Food For 4’s primary relief effort is the distribution of easy-to-prepare meal parcels to affected communities. These parcels consist of nutritious meals that only require the addition of water to cook at home.

They humbly request your generosity in making a financial contribution to support this crucial cause. Every donation they receive is used responsibly to ensure continued provision of a warm bowl of soup with bread and clean drinking water to the people of Vredefort, and to sustain their assistance programs in Johannesburg.

• 10 servings of pasta/rice and soya mince
• 50 servings of soup
• 20 servings of vitamin and mineral-fortified porridge
• 10 litres (2.6 gallons) of bottled water

In addition to these efforts, Food For 4 operates a SOUP KITCHEN at the Chapel of Saints Peter and Paul in Vredefort in the Free State.
